Krugerrand

Product Details

The Krugerrand, introduced in 1967, was the first modern gold bullion coin intended for private investment. Struck in 22-karat gold (.9167 purity), it features Paul Kruger on the obverse and a springbok antelope on the reverse. Unlike most bullion coins, it has no face value and is valued purely by its gold content. Its reddish tone comes from a small amount of copper added for durability.
